For the increase stitches: substitute the 1 single crochet with 1 chain, so the increase stitch looks like this: 3 dc, 1 ch, 3 dc (instead of 3 dc, 1 sc, 3 dc). When you reach the chain you make 3 dc around it – never make an increase around the chain. See a video tutorial of the stitch here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c7qlj3qHOPk
WHAT IS IT
A crochet pattern for a beret with a rose. The hat is made in shell stitches and the rose is sewn on at the end. You will also get a 7 min video (with English voice over) showing the yarn and hook, how to start the pattern and how to increase and decrease.
The pattern will help you to crochet more intuitively throughout the pattern, because you don’t need to look in the pattern for every step!
4,5 mm hook + 3 mm hook
Wool yarn, size 4 (worsted/aran), I used Filcolana Peruvian Highland Wool, yardage: 50 g = 100 m
You need 75 grams (incl. the rose). The rose is made with wool yarn in size 1 (fingering).
You can also use cotton yarn, but the fit/shape might be different.
One size, fits a 55 cm in head circumference. If you want it bigger or smaller, you can make more/less rows of increase on the hat.
