I find it absolutely magical to make crochet clothes. When I put it on my body I see all these small steps; the single strand of yarn, my hands and this little hook and how I ended up with a unified item that can be worn and used for years. A piece that belongs to me, that envelops me both in the proces of making and wearing it – and that enables me to go into the world and feel even more like myself than I did before.
How beautiful is that!
I feel most like myself when I am relaxed. Emotionally regulated, have catered to my needs. Even the most basic needs as drinking when I’m thirsty, eating when I’m hungry, resting when I’m tired. Or just resting because I feel like it.
